RED is a DEFRA approved smokeless fuel, authorised by government for use in smoke control zones across the UK. It is HETAS approved for Open Fires and Multi Fuel Stoves.

Superb fuel
An excellent smokeless coal for the price. I cannot see any reason to buy anything dearer.
This burns hot, clean and for long periods. It's very easy to light, and can recover from virtually no embers in a morning.
It also has very little ash.

Superb
I am a convert. Switched from Real Flame, mainly because of rising costs. Certainly not disappointed. I bank up at night and can still have a good glow the following morning with stove fan still spinning. Red works for my little stove and I am delighted. Easy to light, superb heat long burning time. The only difference is slightly more ash made in comparison.
