Our business originally began trading in 1980 as Ace Coal and Gas Company, building a strong reputation as a trusted local coal merchant. As customer needs evolved and demand for a wider range of fuel products increased, the business expanded and officially became Ace Energy in 2000.
Today, we continue to build on our heritage while investing in modern technology and facilities to provide customers with dependable, high-quality fuel supplies.

At Ace Energy, we believe fuel quality makes a significant difference to heating performance. That is why we have invested heavily in advanced storage and handling systems to ensure our coal and smokeless fuels are supplied in the cleanest and driest condition possible.
We have installed a state-of-the-art screening and bagging plant that removes fines and unwanted debris from our fuel products. This helps improve burning efficiency and overall product quality.
To further protect our fuel, we have invested over £2 million in a purpose-built covered storage facility capable of holding approximately 8,000 tonnes of fuel. By storing our products under cover, we significantly reduce moisture levels which helps deliver:

Some smokeless fuels stored outdoors can contain high moisture levels. By keeping our products undercover, we minimise water ingress, helping customers receive a higher usable fuel volume per delivery and ensuring they are not paying for unnecessary moisture.
While we always strive to provide fuel in optimal dry condition, some products can occasionally contain minor moisture due to manufacturer storage prior to delivery to our site.
